زاهية بنت البحر)
يابنتَ خيرِ النَّـاسِ بعـدَ محمَّـدٍ
O, Daughter of the best of people after our prophet
رجَحتْ بفضلِكِ كفَّة ُ الميـزانِ
To thy Virtue, the scale of balance got outweighed
وازدادَعـزُّكِ بسطـة ً وكرامـةً
Cherishing your status with wealth and dignity
حينَ اصطفاكِ الـرَّبُّ للعدنانـي
When for the prophet you were preferred
لمَّـا أرادَ اللهُ حفـظَ رسـالـةٍ
When Allah wanted to keep His doctrin
بالسِّنَّـةِ الـغـراءَ والـقـرآنِ
Through Sunnah and Qura’an
أهدى لكِ الفكرَ القويـمَ محبَّـةً
Upon you wisdom He bestowed
برسولِنا الداعـي إلـى الرحمـنِ
honoring his prophet a generous reward
قلبٌ شفيـفٌ بالهدايـةِ يرتقـي
with a virtuous heart that attainth
درجاتِ أهل العلـم ِوالإيمـانِ
high ranks of knowledge and faith
فحفظتِ من هدي النبوةِ منهجاً
Keeping our prophet’s heritage
يبقى لنـا شرعـاً لكـلِ أوانِ
that guides us in every age
كنتِ الحديثةَ َ بالسنينَ فحدَّثـتْ
though young and novice you were
بالدينِ عنـكِ منابـرُ الأزمـانِ
but known for your eloquence everywhere
شاءَ الإلهُ بـأن تكونـي قـرَّةً
Allah wills you to be the solace
لحبيبهِ فـي القلـبِ والوجـدانِ
For his beloved‘s heart and conscience
فحظيتِ من عطفِ الرسولِ وودِّهِ
to you the prophet was passionate and kind
ماساءَ أهلَ الغـدرِ والعـدوانِ
Which spiteful people had annoyed
قالوا :ومالي في المقالـةِ مـأربٌ
a salander was invented , and I don’t mean to quote their saying
حدثٌ لعمرُك بيِّـنُ الأضغـانِ
! By thy life, is but out of grudging
والحاقدونَ تسلقوا حبـلَ افتـرا
Malevolent people climbed the rope of lies
فانهـارَ دونَ متانـةِ البنـيـان
So it collapsed without solid structure
نزلتْ لأجلـكِ آيـةٌ قدسيـةٌ
For your sake a holy verse was revealed
فيها البراءةُ مـن أذى البهتـانِ
Absolving you from any false deed
وبقيتِ ياأمَّاهُ فـي نـورِ الهـدى
Our mother, you remained in the guidance light
بالوعي قد فُضِّلتِ في النسـوانِ
Preferred as the best of women for your insight
وبصدقِ قولِك كم تفقـه عالـمٌ
By your truthful speech many scholars learned
ومعلـمٌ بمنـاهـلِ الإيـمـانِ
And many others from your faith source sipped
ياأمَّنـا يارمـزَ كـلِّ فضيلـةٍ
This poem, O Symbol of every virtue
قد خـطَّ قلبـي حبَّـهُ بجمـانِ
with pearls was composed for you
فـإذا تألَّـقَ بالبهـاءِ قريضُـهُ
In glamour should it shine and splendor
فبحبِّ ربِّ الكـونِ والعدنانـي
it will be for love to Allah and His Messenger
